As you will see, a long, long time has passed since my last post. I had in fact forgotten that I had set up a blog (correction, my dear friend Shawn had set one up for me). One of my new year’s resolutions is to write more, and include a blog in that. I struggle with the word blog, because it is essentially an ugly word. But it’s the word we use for what I am doing, so am getting over it as I type.
Quick look at the years since last writing –
Son turned 17; I met a gorgeous American man; son turned 18; I continued to cook at the Folk House Café; recession started biting; I married gorgeous American man; honeymooned in Nashville, the Carolinas and Georgia and fell in love with southern cooking if not the politics; son turned 19, is at RWA art school and despite some hiccups and much maternal interference is doing very well; we are all living together and so far so good; recession biting harder but still here, still facing forward, still cooking.
